Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program Skilled Worker Overseas

If you are a skilled worker overseas and you want to immigrate to Manitoba Canada, you may be eligible for the Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) pathway.

But, you must have a connection to Manitoba (Please see details below).

Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) pathway of is part of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), which allows the province to nominate candidates who have a connection to Manitoba and can contribute to its economy.

To apply for the SWO pathway, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must have an established connection to Manitoba through one of the following ways:

    • You have a close relative or friend who is a resident of Manitoba and is willing to support your settlement plan (Manitoba Support).
    • You have previous education or work experience in Manitoba (Manitoba Experience).
    • You have received an invitation to apply from the MPNP as part of a strategic recruitment initiative (Manitoba Invitation).
  • You must score at least 60 points out of 100 based on five factors: language proficiency, age, work experience, education, and adaptability.

    • For example:
      • If your IELTS get score 6, which means CLB is 7, you get 18 points
      • Age 21 to 45: 10 points
      • Work Experience: 1 year 8 points, 2 years 10 points, 3 years 12 points, 4+ years 15 points
      • Education: Master 25 points, 2+ post-secondary or bachelors degree 20 points
      • Adaptability: Relative in Monitoba 20 points, friend in Manitoba 10 points, Invitation to Apply received from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative 20 points...
  • You must demonstrate that you have the skills and qualifications to fill the labour market needs of Manitoba.

  • You must submit a settlement plan that shows your intention and ability to live and work in Manitoba permanently.

If you do not have a connection to Manitoba, you are not eligible for the SWO pathway, regardless of your points total.
